Heavy Driver – Role Overview
As a Heavy Driver at Browar Construction, your key responsibility is to operate heavy vehicles such as trucks, dumpers, and construction machinery transporters. You will be responsible for the safe loading, movement, and unloading of materials across sites. A valid heavy vehicle driving license and knowledge of safety rules are mandatory. You must be punctual, responsible, and able to follow instructions from the site supervisor. Routine vehicle checks and reporting mechanical issues are also part of your job. We value disciplined and experienced drivers who understand the importance of safe driving and site coordination in construction environments.
Public Healthcare
Heavy drivers working in Poland under legal employment are fully covered by public healthcare (NFZ). At Browar Construction, we register all drivers for health insurance from day one and help you get your PESEL number. This gives you access to public clinics, hospitals, doctors, and emergency care — all without out-of-pocket expenses. Whether it’s a minor injury or routine check-up, you’re protected. We also assist you with understanding how to use the system and where to go in case of illness. Your safety and well-being, on and off the road, are a priority for us.
Third Country Nationals
We proudly employ heavy drivers from third countries like India, Nepal, and Ukraine. If you’re not from the EU but have a valid heavy vehicle license and work permit, Browar Construction supports you with legal documentation, visa guidance, PESEL registration, and insurance setup. We also assist with accommodation and Polish road safety training if needed. Our goal is to make your relocation and work experience as smooth and legal as possible. You will receive equal pay, full rights, and a professional environment to grow your career in Poland’s fast-growing construction sector.
Sick Leave in Poland
If you fall ill or are injured while working as a heavy driver, you are legally entitled to paid sick leave in Poland. Simply visit a certified doctor who will issue a digital sick note (L4), which is sent to ZUS. You will receive 80% of your average salary during your recovery period. Browar Construction ensures you are fully guided through this process, and that your rights and payments are protected. Whether it’s a short illness or a more serious medical issue, we support you fully. Your job and income will remain safe while you focus on getting better.
