Steel Fixer – Role Overview

As a Steel Fixer at Browar Construction, your main responsibility is to cut, bend, tie, and fix steel bars and mesh for reinforced concrete structures such as columns, beams, and foundations. You must read construction drawings, follow precise measurements, and ensure accurate placement of rebar before concrete is poured. Familiarity with tools like steel cutters, benders, and tying wire is essential. Experience in large-scale construction is preferred. Your accuracy and strength are crucial to the structural safety of the building — making you a vital member of our site team.

Public Healthcare

All legally employed Steel Fixers at Browar Construction are registered under Poland’s national healthcare system (NFZ). Once you join, we assist with your PESEL number and medical insurance registration. This gives you access to doctors, hospitals, emergency services, and prescribed medicines — free or at subsidized costs. If you face any injury or health issues due to physical work, you’re fully covered. Our HR team supports you in finding clinics, booking appointments, and understanding the system. Your health and safety — both on and off the site — are our top priorities.

Third Country Nationals

We hire skilled Steel Fixers from outside the European Union, including countries like India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Ukraine. Browar Construction provides complete assistance with work permits, visas, PESEL registration, and public insurance setup. We offer fair wages, legal job contracts, and equal treatment under Polish labor laws. Additionally, we support your accommodation and help you adapt to the Polish work environment. Your expertise in reinforcement work is highly valued, and we are committed to providing you a respectful, safe, and long-term job opportunity in Poland.

Sick Leave in Poland

If you become sick or injured while working as a Steel Fixer, you are legally entitled to paid sick leave. A certified doctor will issue a medical certificate (L4), which is electronically submitted to ZUS (Social Insurance). You will receive 80% of your average salary during recovery. Browar Construction ensures smooth documentation and full HR support so your benefits are not delayed. Whether it’s a minor issue or something more serious, your job and income are protected. We prioritize your well-being, providing you time to heal with full legal coverage.
